We are delighted to have Cakesmiths joining us for another year as our official cake sponsor for UK Coffee Week 2018.
Cakesmiths, the coffee shop cake specialist, makes and bakes a range of tasty cakes in its Bristol-based bakery – all handmade using natural ingredients and no life preserving nasties.
During UK Coffee Week 2018, Cakesmiths will be launching the Waterfall Cake, a decadent espresso caramel brownie that uses ground Ethiopian coffee from Clifton Coffee Roasters and 77% Belgian Chocolate. 50p from each tray bake will be supporting Project Waterfall, helping to bring clean drinking water to communities in the Jabi Tehnan district of Ethiopia.
Cakesmiths co-founder, Tom Batlle, says: “We use coffee beans from South America and Africa in our Espresso Brownie recipe and at our own Bristol-based coffee shop, Bakesmiths. We understand how much these communities rely on the coffee trade for their livelihood and to support their families. Which is why we want to support UK Coffee Week and help Project Waterfall continue making a positive difference to these vibrant communities.”
With their incredible support as official cake sponsor and Project Waterfall partners, we will be able to raise even more valuable funds for Project Waterfall and bring clean water and sanitation to coffee growing communities across the world.
