From all corners of the nation, coffee is considered a want and a need by millions. But the community of coffee stretches much further than that of the UK.
Coffee travels thousands of miles to get to our stores and is grown, transported, roasted and brewed with nothing but love by the people that make this community so great.
UK Coffee Week exists for these people. Funds raised throughout the week go to Project Waterfall who help bring clean water, education and sanitation to coffee-growing communities across the world.
There are plenty of reasons to get involved in this year’s UK Coffee Week (April 29 – May 5), but here’s our top ten...
It’s a chance to celebrate coffee!
100% of the money you raise will go straight to Project Waterfall and the coffee growing communities of Ethiopia. Since 2011, Project Waterfall has raised over £1 million and changed more than 40,000 lives in Nicaragua, Tanzania, Rwanda, Vietnam, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia.
69% of consumers would like to see their coffee shop taking part in initiatives that support coffee growing communities. Customers love it and want to support great causes!
A national campaign is being run around the week so you can capitalise on this to increase your customer base.
Get your team working together on a fun and informative campaign, whilst feeling great about giving back to those at the source.
You’ll receive a fundraising kit filled with extra goodies from our friends.
There are badges in the kit… Everyone loves a badge.
Everything is set up for you! You don’t need to stress as we suggest fundraising ideas and send you everything you need.
The second weekend of the week is Bank Holiday Weekend so it’s a great chance to get even more people into your store.
It's called FUNdraising - have fun!
Whether you decide to fundraise by donating money from every cup of coffee you serve, hosting events, or even organising town coffee crawls, your efforts will give coffee lovers across the UK the chance to support Project Waterfall simply by enjoying their daily cup of coffee.
