1st February 2017: UK Coffee Week Talkshop

Our first UK Coffee Week Talkshop of 2017 went down as a great success. The theme of the night was sustainability in the coffee industry, a critical subject at the centre of present and future environmental debates. Over 40 industry members attended the talk, hosted by Taylor St Baristas in their Bank branch, with insightful presentations given by team members of bio-bean and Simply Cups.

UK Coffee Week 2016: A Great Success

This year, UK Coffee Week raised money for a venture based in the Oromia region of Ethiopia, a partnership project between Project Waterfall and our delivery partner, WaterAid. This project aims to reach 24,500 people by 2018 in one rural and one urban ward of Chelia District (liben Gamo and Babich Town) and one rural ward of the Toke Kutaye district (Toke Kombolcha).

We've teamed up with Cephas Azariah to bring you this photo-journal of Timberyard, one of our amazing supporters for UK Coffee Week. 

Timberyard, a London based cafe, described by their team as a “dynamic, independent creative workspace fused with speciality tea and coffee”, will be hosting a number of different events for UK Coffee Week. Darren Elliott, the man behind Timberyard, has been an avid supporter of UK Coffee Week and Project Waterfall in the past and is spearheading the events put on this year. Timberyard currently has three locations -TY SohoTY Seven Dials in Central London, and TY Old Street in East London - and all three shops will be participating in UK Coffee Week.
