Just put some coffee beans in a glass jar, don’t forget to write the number down, and the person who gets it right or is the closest wins a prize! Each customer that guesses the number pays a small fee which goes straight to Project Waterfall - we suggest around £2-3 per entry.

Some tips:

  • Instead of counting out the beans one by one, work out the number by weight. It’ll save you a lot of time.

  • Contact some local businesses about donating prizes. You could collect a selection for a hamper.

  • Make sure the prize is something that’ll get your customers excited. The value of the prize will also help you to decide how much to charge for each entry.

  • Done guess the number of beans before? Get your customers to guess the origin of a particular coffee!
