Best Coffee Guide: New Partnership

Who’s new with the campaign? We are excited to introduce Best Coffee Guide, a company that is demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility by supporting UK Coffee Week!

Here’s why Best Coffee Guide is involved in the campaign and why we’re proud to have them support us!

Why did you get involved in UK Coffee Week?

Best Coffee is committed to guiding people to the best cafes around the globe, so UK Coffee Week was the perfect fit! We'll be guiding people to great cafes doing great things in the name of charity. And, with a focus on coffee, there's no better charity than Project Waterfall - who give back to the communities that bring us the best coffee, every day.

What do you enjoy most about the week and why?

Over the years, we've seen more and more cafes get involved in UK Coffee Week. One of the things we love about the week is that it brings about a sense of community - cafe teams pull together and have fun supporting the initiative, often going above and beyond to raise money which is inspiring to say the least. Supporters of the charity can visit participating coffee shops to show their support and donate.

UK Coffee Week is now in its 10th year… In the past decade what have been the biggest changes you’ve seen in the UK coffee industry?

Over the past 10 years, we've seen more and more specialty cafes popping up across the UK. Walk through your local town centre and amongst the cafe chains there is most certainly more than one independent cafe serving specialty coffee. Unlike 10 years ago, it's now not uncommon to see an extensive menu and a coffee counter equipped with a brew bar, or even the more theatrical syphon.
Cafe culture is now at its peak, with many people making their "local" a part of everyday life; using it as a key destination for work, relaxing, and socialising. People now know more about coffee, and with an abundance of cafes to choose from, more people can make an informed decision on where to grab a great cup of it.

What are your plans for your 2020 involvement?

We'll be supporting UK Coffee Week by helping the public find the best cafes involved in this year's UK Coffee Week. That means you'll be able to sip delicious coffee whilst making a difference to coffee-growing communities across the world.
