The Road to £1Million

2011…

Wills married Kate. Charlie Sheen was having a meltdown. The Harry Potter films came to an end. UK Coffee Week took place for the first time.

Iconic moments.

Fast-forward 10 years and we’re delighted to say…

10 years of Coffee Week

As we get ready to celebrate our tenth birthday with this year’s UK Coffee Week (taking place 27 April - 3 May), we think it’s time to smash through the £1million fundraising mark!

That means we’re looking to raise £250,000 this year.

How we’re going to get to £1M

Short answer: with your support.

Longer answer: in a whole number of ways!

We’ll be running events across the UK, working with brands to shout about Project Waterfall, and getting as many cafes, brands and businesses as possible to register to take part in the week.

How you can support

Run a coffee shop? Whether you’re online or off, register to take part and raise money with your customers throughout the week. You could donate 10p from every coffee served, run raffles, or host events. How you raise money is entirely up to you.

Laura Harper-Hinton Quote

Just love drinking coffee? Encourage your local to register and then support their fundraising efforts during the week. Keep an eye on our Instagram account too as we’ll be announcing various events you can take part in.

Where the funds go

100% of money raised during UK Coffee Week goes to Project Waterfall’s efforts to bring clean water, education and sanitation to coffee-growing communities across the world.

This year in particular, the money raised will go towards Project Waterfall’s ongoing work in the rural Jabi Tehnan district of Ethiopia. This work will change the lives of over 10,000 people.
