Why did you get involved in UK Coffee Week?
Since launching in Jan 2019, Magic Stamp has worked closely with hundreds of cafes and coffee shops in the UK and beyond. We recognise that a thriving coffee industry is highly reliant on the producers - Project Waterfall is a fantastic initiative that aids sustainable development for these communities that we rely on so heavily.
What do you enjoy most about the week and why?
It’s a brilliant opportunity to catch up with others in the coffee community across the UK. To listen to their ideas and concerns whilst having a heap of fun for an extremely good cause.
UK Coffee Week is now in its 10th year… In the past decade what have been the biggest changes you’ve seen in the UK coffee industry?
Having launched in 2019 we’re new to the industry but we’ve recognised two key trends:
Sustainability - consumers are more informed about the environmental impact of their actions. Unnecessary waste and single use plastic are a big no-no and plant based diets are on the up.
Convenience is key, but we’re still human!
Tech has changed the way we interact with coffee businesses but a personal experience is more important than ever - a little chat with the barista goes a long way towards building loyalty.
What are your plans for your 2020 involvement?
We’re here to spread the word of UK Coffee week across the UK and we want to support all of the businesses involved. We’re offering 25%* off any Magic Stamp subscription to any business signed up to UK Coffee Week 2020.
