Why the Beverage Standards Association supports UK Coffee Week

We are delighted to announce our partnership with the Beverage Standards Association (BSA), who are proudly supporting the campaign and helping us broaden the reach of UK Coffee Week even further.

Here’s why the BSA is involved in the campaign and why we’re proud to have them support us!

Why did you get involved in UK Coffee Week?

The BSA and its proud members are fully behind UK Coffee Week and Project Waterfall.

Working to provide coffee growing communities with that most basic of human needs “water”. Something all too often we take for granted.

What do you enjoy most about the week and why?

UK coffee week is the perfect forum for all in the business at whatever point to share that passion that runs through our coffee community, to network, develop and sustain.

By raising awareness and support of the basic issues faced right at the point of origin at the same time it
becomes a multi-faceted event not to be missed,

UK Coffee Week is now in its 10th year… In the past decade what have been the biggest changes you have seen in the UK coffee industry?

The rise and rise of the independent coffee chains offering tremendous service, classic hot and cold beverages, originality and skill with a smile.

What are your plans for your 2020 involvement?

We will be promoting the event to our members’ through the BSA web site and Social Media. We will be encouraging our members and supporters to fully engage with the week and raise a substantial amount of money to Project Waterfall.

A little more about the BSA

Our Association is dedicated to fostering the growth of the UK out-of-home beverage market, to raising the quality of beverages produced and the standard of service provided. One way in which it achieves this is through education; training, information and communication. Another is through better standards of practice, honesty and integrity between all sectors of the industry with all members upholding and protecting these. As well, the Association provides a platform from which to address the Government, legislative bodies and the media on matters which concern members.
