Fracino: New Partnership
We are delighted to announce that Fracino is supporting UK Coffee Week in 2020! In addition to supporting the running of the campaign, Fracino is kindly providing us with coffee machines and grinders so you can get your coffee fix and support Project Waterfall at our Network Rail events!
Here’s why Fracino is involved in the campaign and why we’re proud to have them support us!
Why did you get involved in UK Coffee Week?
As the sole manufacturer of UK Coffee machines, Fracino are honoured to be supporting Project Waterfall as a machine partner for UK Coffee Week 2020. Fresh water is a commodity that is easily taken for granted in this country, but without the support from Project Waterfall, the coffee-growing communities that support our industry would be forced to live without clean water, sanitation and education.
What do you enjoy most about the week and why?
UK Coffee Week unites a wide range of people that are hugely passionate about coffee and the future of our industry. It is a great chance to grab a coffee whilst helping to support those that work hard every day to grow our coffee despite the fresh water shortage in some coffee growing areas.
UK Coffee Week is now in its 10th year… In the past decade what have been the biggest changes you’ve seen in the UK coffee industry?
Despite being in the coffee industry for over 50 years, the rapid expansion of the coffee scene in the UK is staggering! In 2007 there were around 10,000 coffee shops in the UK, however there are now in excess of 24,000 cafes and coffee shops spread all across the country.
Having recently been voted the nation’s leading supplier of beverage equipment by independent coffee shop owners for the second year running, Fracino has had to expand to keep up with growing demand, leading to a rise in employment at our UK based factory and Head Office
What are your plans for your 2020 involvement?
Fracino are particularly thrilled to be collaborating with UK Coffee Week by providing our much loved Contempo espresso machines for the Network Rail Project. We look forward to wetting the whistle of the passengers whilst serving excellent coffee throughout the week.
